Unions are the left over's of communist ideology of equality and classless society. Law of Nature says, the strongest and the smartest survive, So if somebody is getting fired, the only reason is he is incompetent to do his job. We are living in the era of Capitalism where people at the top make the rules, So it is more logical to get to the top then to shake the masses(sheeps) and create a revolution.
